A random conglomeration of thoughts by yours truly.
come jump in puddles with me

I was supposed to be conoeing right now, but due to rain the trip was cancelled. The fact that we were going to be on the water, and couldn't take a little water above us disturbs me. Why on earth are we worried about a little rain. The I thought about the way that everyone runs for cover when it rains. What the heck is wrong with us.
I'm that odd guy you see, who walks down the street in the pouring rain in a T-shirt. I like the rain, and I still have a childish fascination with it. I admit, I still like jumping in puddles too. But the more I think about the more I think I have the right attitude towards it. Everyone needs to let go a little but. Rain won't kill you, it just get you wet, and you don't even have to pay for it!
Now I can see running for cover if you're holding a paper bag full of groceries, but if you'e just walking, well who needs an excuse. We all remember listening to our mothers bellow for us to come indoors, couldn't we see that it was raining! But as children we were perfectly content in the rain. We enjoyed cloudy weather just as much as sunny. And as a boy, I had an excellant reason, thats when all the worms come out of the ground. The fish bite better in the rain too. It was a perfect situation for me.
I suppose what I'm really getting at is when do we change the fun in the rain to fear of the rain. What's wrong with a picnic in the water, especially warm rain. Why don't you just throw off your fancy coats, put away your umbrella and come walking down the street with me. And for once, let that little kid in you do what you've been deing to do, jump in a couple of puddles.

Yours Sincerely
Tim
